Please help
This is my sister Jama. She is putting on a Concert at Carnegie Hall on March 10, 2009 to benefit Women for Women International. She has worked extremely hard on this project for the last 2 years by herself. She wants to be able to help these women and she really believes in this cause. She needs your help. Since the economy is suffering right now, not a lot of people are donating money for this cause. You could come to NYC and buy a ticket for $100. But most of us can't, so please help us by donating some money to Women for Women International. Any amount of money will help. It is tax deductible and the receipt will be mailed to you. You will not go on any mailing list.If you are interested please click on this site and donate. This site is specifically for my sister's concert benefit. To donate by credit card:
https://www.fracturedatlas.org/site/contribute/donate/2099
It will say to benefit: Baroque Heart Benefit Concert. That's the one you want.
"For donations by check:
Please make check payable to Fractured Atlas and mail to:
Jama Jandrokovic
9 Thayer Street Apartment C4

You will receive a tax receipt in the mail within four weeks of your donation.
Thank you for supporting the arts and Women for Women International.
P.S. If you have any questions or would like further information, please feel free to call my sister Jama at (917) 295-8844 or contact her by email at jama@jamajandrokovic.com

A great book

This book is great. Everyone should read it! This really has helped me. John Bytheway is such a great speaker and his book is inspiring.
One part I would like to share is this by Elder Richard G. Scott:
When you are face adversity, you can be led to ask many questions. Some serve a useful purpose; others do not. To ask, Why does this have to happen to me? Why do I have to suffer this, now? What have I done to cause this? will lead you into blind alleys. It really does no good to ask questions that reflect opposition to the will of God. Rather ask, What am I to do? What am I to learn from this experience? What am I to change? Whom am I to help? How can I remember my many blessings in times of trial? Willing sacrifice of deeply held personal desires in favor of the will of God is very hard to do. Yet, when you pray with real conviction, " Please let me know Thy will" and "May Thy will be done," you are in the strongest position to receive the maximum help from your loving Father.
Do you want to know where fatigue comes from? It doesn't come from working too hard. All the research shows that fatigue comes from not finishing your work. William James once wrote, "Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task."
This really has been helpful.

Fun in NYC!

Friday we headed down to NYC to see my sister Jama. It was soo COLD! Only 5 degrees. We first went to Fairway food market in NYC. It was really fun shopping there, it was like a maze. It made no sense. You need a map to figure out were everything is. The refrigerator section was in a refrigerator. You had to walk through these doors into a very COLD area. It had meat everywhere! They even had special coats for you.

So much cheese so little time.
OLIVES!
It was an amusing time. Then we headed home to Jama's warm apartment. Every room has its own TV so we all split up and enjoyed ourselves. Quiet time!
NYC History Museum

Saturday we headed down to get on the subway. It was freezing! The Subway ride to the museum was fun for the kids. We had a few crazy people on the ride. The kids just kept quite and just stared at them. It was funny to watch the kids looking at this guy being really weird. Welcome to NYC!

My sister got a family pass for all of us! Thanks Jama! First, we saw the Dinosaur Alive movie.
Then off to the butterflies.

Lots and lots of walking!

The Subway home

On the way home the kids were more comfortable. It was really packed but they had a great time. Jama had Mary and Lukas on one side of the subway and I had the rest in the middle. We all had to stand until half way through the ride . I think we had 10 stops so about the 5th stop Madie,Thomas and Lukas all wanted their own pole to hold on to. We had a lady begging for coins, which everyone ignored. It was a good day.

oNe daY aT a TiMe?

I think I might lose my mind. No bites on the house, fighting kids you know, a regular day? I am just taking this whole selling the house and kids and all the other things one day at time. Sometimes it's hour by hour. I really like school. I wish the kids could be in school 10 hours a day and that I had my own spa. I guess that is not going to happen so I think I'll make cookies instead. Cookies are really yummy. That is something to look forward too right? I think I'll eat some cookies and not lose my mind, maybe tomorrow.
iT's coLd!
Out here it's about 10 degrees. I'm dreaming about 75 with a warm breeze. Warm weather I love you! Come back to me!
