Our Trip to Boston

Ben Franklin

We all headed out on a cold raining Saturday morning for Boston. We ( our family and my mother-in-law) first went to Harvard. We saw a lot of building and suggested they could go there when they were older and if they got a full ride scholar ship! By the time we had gone to buy hats and t-shirts we all were hungry. So I asked the lady that was checking us out were was a good burger place. She said the Chicken Kitchen. We got there and it was a small place that looked OK from the outside. I went in and the menu looked good and at a good price. I had everyone head in up the stairs. Well, it was a place some would call a bar but I would call a local eatery with glowing lights. No one was there so we sat down in a corner and had some great burgers. Ron had a great lobster roll. He loves those. Another family with kids walked in too, it is a family place. Then off to MIT. Another place the kids might want to go? Ron and I ran in and got some hats, just to remind them they have options. Then off to the freedom trail. We went to Quincy Market and saw Obama and took a few pictures with him. Then off on the trail we went. the camera died so so fun pictures-sorry. Over all the last time we will be there in a long time was a cold but fun time.

Santa Letters

Thomas and Lukas were hurrying to get their letter's to Santa. They we writing and re-writing what they wanted. They we as happy as can be! They even asked Santa to sign a paper claiming he was there.

The proper way to shovel.

Day after the SnOW!

It snowed and snowed until we had about 8.5 inches. Ron went out and started to shovel. I came out to help but then we decided that it was too hard and heavy. I called my neighbor and asked if we could borrow his snow blower. That was much better! You have got to love nice neighbors!

LEt iT sNoW!

The first Picture was taken at 2:30pm. The next one is at 4:45 pm with 5 inches of snow.

Here in the East we are waiting for the BIG SNOW! The kids didn't go to school today. They are sweet little things until they turn sour and fight! I wish we had school today! -Oh I just looked out the window and here it comes! Snow! I've seen snow. I'm good, I want summer again.
The kids decided to go outside and play. They took 5 minutes to get ready and only stayed out 10 minutes because they said it was too cold. It's a good thing we are moving to TX!

Just a thought

Which one are you?

This week has been well, good and interesting.... My friend and I painted this week and I had my Hometeacher ( Bro. Gilmore) help put in a new toilet. I took out a sink and put in a new one with a beautiful faucet. Then I put in a vanity light and finally I had some help from a neighbor , he help take out the kitchen faucet and I put one in, it's awesome. I was feeling pretty blessed but this morning, oh baby! Well, I have been in the basement doing a little work. Lets just say I have fans on and a sore back, and a thank you to the ladies that helped! You know God doesn't give you more than you can handle, so I'm being of good cheer. It's better to go through something crappy with a smile than not. Now picture this in your mind..a person in the mud with a smile vs. a person in the mud with a crabby face. I like the smiling mud face. You know there are lots of bad things around us, but I have decided to look on the bright side. Really, who would you like to hang out with, crabby kristen that's always crabby or krazy kristen the krazy one? Krazy is always best!
