Getting ready to roll out of there!

Before we move we wanted to do some fun things here in CT. So, we heard that pizza was perfected(some say invented) at Pepe's in New Haven. So this morning we ventured off. First we headed down to Yale. The buildings were beautiful! Each building was a diffrent school. ( I even feel smarter just visiting.) By the time we got back to the car we were all starving. We drove only a few minutes and there we were at Pepe's. I did some awesome parking and then off to stand in line for 30 minutes in the cold. It was worth the wait! Afterwards we just walk a few feet to get Italian Icee's yum!

THANKSGIVING TIME

We saw it!

WOW! I loved the movie. It was clean, thrilling and well, you'll just have to see it for yourself. Mary is planning on going to it 3-4 times. I know that I will buy it when it comes out.

I'm the coolest mom!

Mary is so obsessed with these books. I decided to to try one out. I'm a little too busy to read it so I got the book on CD from the library. (I have the best Library!) I started to listen to the CD and decided that I just hated the lady's voice that was reading it. So I had a friend tell me all about it. (yes, that would be you Tammy H.-she loves it more than Mary) So since I am the best Mom ever (for now anyway) I am getting Mary out of school and taking her to this movie. And since it is an afternoon movie I got a discount on the tickets-$7.75 (oh ya! bargain hunter). I know she will love it. So for the next couple of days I will be the coolest Mom and I'm going to enjoy every minute.

Game on!

It started with 1 then turned into 3 then 4. What am I talking about? Mario Kart! The new game for the wii. Ron got it for his birthday and it's a lot of fun. I must admit I love to play it.

We are now online

We have now signed he paper work for selling our home. The last couple of days have been crazy! Super cleaning and really getting stuff polished has been interesting. Ron had helped rearrange the furniture. I must say it looks great now. Why on earth didn't we do this before? You can look on Realtor.com to see our home.

Mary can sew!

Mary is taking a class at school intro to clothing. She made a quilted pillow. She learned how to use a 30 year old sewing machine and hand stitch. Now she is making sweat pants. I'll post them when she is done. We are so proud!

And It begins

We are on our way, the relocation department has contacted us and we are now ready to begin.


Step one: De clutter - done ( I love to organize)
Step two: Paint- closets, rooms, touch ups- done
Step three: Re-arrange furniture-done (thanks to our home teacher)
Step four: Kids rooms, get rid of things not needed, touch ups-done (no thanks to the children)
Step five: Deep clean bathrooms & dreaded kitchen floor that will have to be tomorrow- I'm tired. (Tammy can you fly in?)

Post cast pictures

Ya right! No way will I post my scary jungle leg hair. It was too frightening!! I was going to shave but decided to wait until Ron came home from his trip; I told him I was going to shave before he came home. So when he came home I said "let me show you my new removable boot cast. As I pulled up my leg pant to show him the boot I showed him the horror! He cringed and said "put it away, put it away and get rid of it!" I said " don't you want to feel it?" "NO WAY" he shrieked and ran up the stairs! I smiled and laughed. I told him he should be grateful that I shave and if he doesn't fulfill all my needs I won't shave and he would regret it! He smiled and said "yes dear!"

6 weeks is up, Pink Lady comes off!

I am so glad it's off. That is all that needs to be said! As for the cast, I kept it clean for 5 1/2 weeks. 2 days ago, I let went to YW and let anyone sign my cast. When it was cut off she chucked it in the garbage!

We are on the Move Again!

Just a little note to all... We are now moving to the Big state of Texas, AGAIN! Ron got a new job-(kinda the same company) We are hoping to sell quick and be there by January. We are all sad to leave this beautiful place, but that's what we do, move. So, if any one is moving here to CT we have a great house for you! We will be moving to Wichita Falls -( its left of Dallas by Oklahoma.) We will keep you all up to date on how the move is going. For people who haven't moved you'll enjoy the ride.

What a fun day! The kids dressed up and had a blast! Since we live in a small town their aren't a lot of houses to go T or Ting. We did stop by one of our neighbors who had her house all spooky.

A good friend of mine invited us to her house for dinner and to go T & Ting in her neighborhood . We had pizza and then we were on our way. We hit a JAKE POT! There were so many houses. When we went back to her house she had gotten me a birthday cake -love it!

Lukas goes to story time on Tuesdays. Today they had a speical day at the Fire Station. He got to sit in a fire truck and say hello to Smokey the Bear. He had a great time!

Leaves and More Leaves

We live in an area that has LOTS of trees which means LOTS of leaves. I love to see all the wonderful colors but HATE raking them up. Since I can't really get around because of my cast the rest of the family has to rake and rake, poor me. That same day we had a huge windstorm which means you can't even tell they raked up the leaves. Later that night we had huge windstorm and rain. The storm made the electricity got out. Now, in the west wouldn't be a big deal but here the water is pumped out of wells, no electricity no water, no flushing toilets, no drink of water, no water. So thankfully we had no crazy bathroom ordeals.
